We are a unique and successful bilingual business situated on Anglesey, North Wales. Created by Arwel Hughes in January, 2000, MAD has attracted an array of customers and has grown from strength to strength since then.

Having been enthusiastic about Sound and Lighting from an early age, Arwel taught himself to make the equipment work for him. That hobby / obsession in turn transformed into a thriving and exciting business. With a family passionate about organising events such as fundraisers and local carnivals, by creating MAD, Arwel saw an opportunity to continue this work but on a larger scale.


 


The idea of MAD was to create a company that people would trust and be comfortable using time and time again. Following intensive market research we discovered that no company on Anglesey or even North Wales could cater for all your sound, lighting, staging, electrical, theatrical and conferencing needs.


 


We wanted to give our customers the ‘One Stop Shop’ experience, from a single microphone and stage lamp to a full outdoor stage system, incorporating all the electrical supplies and health and safety documentation.

  • Installation of all equipment, e.g. clubs, pubs, theatres, schools, colleges and businesses.
  • An outdoor trailer and roofing system, for outdoor performances and concerts. ( ready to go any weather, any place)
  • A shop selling all new sound and lighting equipment, spares and consumables e.g. smoke fluids, comprehensive stock of lamps and theatrical goods.
  • Staging systems, variable heights and deck sizes available. Ideal for any venue or event. E.g. corporate, schools, theatre productions and catwalks.
  • Special effects equipment, mainly theatrical or disco use. We have the technology. E.g. strobes, pyrotechnics, smoke machines. (too many to mention, please see the complete equipment list)
